There was a wedding, and a certain couple entirely forgot about a present. And she had sighed and said she'd make a rug, and he had gone thank you, thank you very much. And so it was that Medusa has been making a rug for the past few months in her time - occasionally drifting in and out, but mostly concentrating on colours and weaves and symbols and magic.

But lo! Said rug is finished, and is now currently being thumped down on Sam's desk.

Gently, of course.

It wouldn't do to unduely startle the Devil, just because it's hours after dawn.

"With me? Never."

He strokes the kitten's fur nonetheless.

[mycursedface]

"Yes. And he is little and fluffy and adorable and called Shreddie."

And he is also being picked up (with her eyes closed, of course), and deposited on the other side of Sam, so Medusa can pull back covers and snuggle into bed *wings outside the covers, because she doesn't feel like making them neat all over again).

With her head on Sam's shoulder, of course, and curled around him. Because wings mean that lying on her back? Is not fun.

Also, boyfriend cuddles are the best.

"And if he jumps on my wings again, I shall...sigh at him."

Sam's arms slide around her. Mmmm, Meda.

"I'm sure he lives in fear of your killer sighs, Meda."

[mycursedface]

"Most sane things are."

[necessary_child]

Comfortably, "Good to know I'm very sane, then."

[mycursedface]

The Gorgon lifts her head up, snakes hissing a little sacastically.

"Yes. Because you are so afraid of me."

[necessary_child]

"I'm terrified." Kissing her shoulder.

"Horrified." Kissing her neck.

"Appalled." Kissing her cheek.

[mycursedface]

"So I see."

She kisses his mouth.

[necessary_child]

Sam kisses her back, both arms sliding around her this time.

MmmmmMedakissing.

[mycursedface]

Shreddie is Not Amused by this.

No, Not Amused At All.

Which is why he climbs back onto Sam and starts batting at Medusa's right wing.

With Intent.




Needless to say that Medusa breaks off kissing Sam to let her head fall onto his shoulder.

"...Bloody kitten."

Bloody kitten who is nonetheless being picked up and petted, because he is after all cute.

[mycursedface]

"Distracting kitten."

Beat.

"He is right, though."

[necessary_child]

"Right?"

Shreddie's purr is reaching several decibels in volume.

[mycursedface]

"Yes. You need to get up."

She helpfully demonstrates this by pushing herself up so that she's sitting on her feet, wings outstretched behind her, looking cheerful.

[necessary_child]

"I have the cruellest girlfriend - and the cruellest kitten - ever," Sam announces to nobody in particular.

He does, nonetheless, put the kitten down in order to sit up.

[mycursedface]

"Yes. Such a cruel girlfriend, to make the wedding present for your friend."

[necessary_child]

Seriously, "You are cruel and mean and evil, and I hate you very much."

[mycursedface]

"He does talk a lot of nonsense, doesn't he, Shreddie?"

[necessary_child]

The kitten purrs rustily. Make of that what you will.

"See? You're being mean again. And colluding with my kitten in your meanness!"

[mycursedface]

"This is why you need to get up. Some fresh air! It'll do you the world of good, and clear your brain."

[necessary_child]

Sulkily, "My brain is perfectly clear. You're just cruel."

[mycursedface]

"Aren't," she replies, getting to her feet and lightly jumping off the bed before walking away.

She's headed towards the windows.

"Are!"

Ohnoes, light. D:

"All right, all right, I can take a hint." Sam sits up and swings his legs over the side of the bed, to a squeak of protest from Shreddie.

[mycursedface]

Medusa beams at him from over her shoulder, and continues to pull back curtains and open windows and letting in fresh air and natural light!

"I knew I loved you for something."

Sulk.

"You're my favourite tormentor, you know that?"
