There was a wedding, and a certain couple entirely forgot about a present. And she had sighed and said she'd make a rug, and he had gone thank you, thank you very much. And so it was that Medusa has been making a rug for the past few months in her time - occasionally drifting in and out, but mostly concentrating on colours and weaves and symbols and magic.

But lo! Said rug is finished, and is now currently being thumped down on Sam's desk.

Gently, of course.

It wouldn't do to unduely startle the Devil, just because it's hours after dawn.

"You can't make them in a couple of days, Luce."

If she were anymore cat, the Gorgon would be purring.

"Bet you could, with magic."

Or just technology. But Sam distrusts technology. Craaaazy stuff, not like magic.

"That would be cheating."

[necessary_child]

Laughing, "So?"

[mycursedface]

"Cheating is bad."

[necessary_child]

Innocently, "Why?"

[mycursedface]

"You can't cheat when you make things. It's...It's false. It wouldn't have a soul."

[necessary_child]

"Why would it be cheating for me to use magic, though? It's as much a part of me as your wings are of you."

She opens her mouth and then stops.

"I...suppose it wouldn't," she says, slowly. "For you."

Sam laughs, and kisses her cheek.

"Cheers, Beautiful."

[mycursedface]

She has an armful of rug, but she turns her head to kiss him properly.

"Doing things with your hands doesn't hurt, though."

[necessary_child]

He chuckles. "So I've been told."

[mycursedface]

"You could try it, sometime."

[necessary_child]

Sam is so misunderstood. D:

He runs his hands down her sides. "Thought I already had."

"Not what I meant."

[necessary_child]

"I know. I said it anyway."

She sticks out her tongue.

[necessary_child]

Sam sticks his tongue out right back at her!

[mycursedface]

"Brat."

[necessary_child]

"Not as much of a brat as you, though."

Medusa's disappointment in him cuts to the very quick.

"I'm not."

Woe, goes her expression. Woe, go the snakes as they drop their heads.

[necessary_child]

"Are too!"

He'd look the picture of woefulness if he could only keep his eyes from dancing.

[mycursedface]

"You're worse."

[necessary_child]

"Pfft." Tickling her briefly. "Am not."

[mycursedface]

Tickling will find that suddenly he has an armful of rug.

"Are," she says, serenely, from a couple meters away.
