Medusa, living as she does in a cave, is still not entirely used this whole having doors business. Nor is she used to knocking, but it wasn't all that long ago that she was living here, so she remembers to knock.

And hope that Sam's in.

And that he isn't...busy.

Sam is sitting on the bed, flipping through the book, a mug of coffee on the bedside cabinet.

At the knock, he looks up. "Hey, Meda. It's not locked."

"Locked by magic," she says, opening the door and peering around it.

"Hey."

He grins at her, putting the book down.

"Hey, yourself."

Right, so, there is invitation to wedding...and there is Sam.

Sam wins.

Which means that the invitation is put down and Sam gets a sound kiss.

Sam totally approves of this decision. Which is why Medusa is tugged onto the bed and thoroughly kissed in return.

Kissing Sam is far, far more enjoyable than wondering about how to look human for a wedding with non-bar people.

Which means that she wriggles to get comfortable (and may end up pulling up her skirt so it doesn't get tangled) rather than pulling away to talk.

Talking is overrated.

Totally over-rated, and definitely highly enjoyable, which is why Sam's hand is now running up her leg.

And under her skirt. Ahem.

It's nice. Very nice. But high enough that she has to start thinking about skirt logistics, and that's enough to make her think, so she pushes herself up.

Not that she...gets off him, though.

"So Guppy told me, yes." Sam grins up at her cheerfully.

"Any ideas on how you're going to look human for it?"

Medusa looks very pleased with herself. She's also mildly tipsy thanks to Atlantean, which might explain the slight wriggle that she does with her hips.

(Given where she is sitting, if Sam complains about that, she's talking to doppleganger)

"Yes. I'll even have an illusion for my hair. So, I can wear something pretty instead of...hiding."

Yeeeeah, Sam totally isn't complaining. The grin does, however, become a little more of a smirk, and he wriggles back against her.

"You're always pretty, Beautiful."

"Yes. But I refuse to be covered, head to toe, just because I need to hide my hair," she tells him, serenely, sliding her fingers down his chest.

"I appreciate this refusal," he informs her, grin broadening.

"And I also remember a time when you were surprised, not smug, at my calling you pretty."

His tone leaves her in no doubt as to which time he prefers.

"I was surprised."

She circles her fingers around his belly-button, and then slides down further.

"But, I had a talk with Aphrodite, when I got back. That does tend to bolster a girl's confidence."

He shivers, grin getting still broader, his hands running up her legs to her sides. "I bet it does."

"I'm one of her favourites," Medusa explains, ignoring her quickening heartbeat. "And I had a favour to ask. But along the way I ended up being mildly scolded for not using her gifts, so..."

Her eyelashes sweep down and her smile is innocent, but the hint of something that's always been there, that touch of charisma and seduction, is now deepened, heightened into fact. It's less a change than a pointing out of something that tends to catch people unawares.

"It's still, um, nice when you say it, though."

Of course, not even Aphrodite's kharis could stop Medusa from stumbling over her sentences.

"It'd be..." Breath. "Rude for you not to use a gift, right?"

Sam's eyes are dark and liquid; one hand traces its way up her body to cup her chin.

"A waste."

"Very." She turns her head into his hand, kisses his palm. His other hand, still at her waist, is guided around to the bottom laces of her top.

Laces are difficult to undo one handed, so magic slowly does the work for him. This, naturally, allows his lower hand to move under Medusa's shirt instead, tracing slow lines up her body.
