Medusa, living as she does in a cave, is still not entirely used this whole having doors business. Nor is she used to knocking, but it wasn't all that long ago that she was living here, so she remembers to knock.

And hope that Sam's in.

And that he isn't...busy.

(she has the invitation in her hand)

He laughs. "It's been known."

Pause.

"Not for a few thousand years, but still."

"Then how in Hades name am I supposed to make you?"

[necessary_child]

"I have faith in you." Sam kisses her cheek. "I'm sure you could find a way."

[mycursedface]

"You are being wildly optimistic," she mutters, settlingly herself more comfortably.

She doesn't look like she's going to be moving any time soon.

[necessary_child]

"It's a failing of mine," he agrees.

He doesn't seem to have any plans to move soon, either.

[mycursedface]

"Idiot," she says, fondly, even as she closes her eyes.

[necessary_child]

"Mean," Sam replies, with equal fondness, and lets his own eyes drift shut.
