It's not as much a question as it once was, but it's hardly a state of fact, either.

Lights up her face. It really, really does.

Sam laughs, cuddling her.

"Dorkgirl."

"Mmumph," she answers, snuggling in against him and sliding her hand over his torso to his back.

Where she pauses.

Voice a little spacey, "Uh, Luce? How badly did I, um, scratch you?"

Pause.

"Uh. A bit?"

He doesn't really know. He doesn't really care, either.

"I'm sorry."

Sam kisses her shoulder. "I don't mind."

[mycursedface]

She brings her hand back and looks at the blood on it. Not a lot, but...

"You are very, very strange."

"It's been a long time since I really cared what happened to my body."

He shrugs matter-of-factly. "Isn't like it really matters, after all."

"Now you sound like me."

[necessary_child]

"Well, it's true. Nothing that happens to me lasts, so why should I care?" Sam kisses her shoulder again, briefly.

"But you matter."

[mycursedface]

The small Gorgon smiles at that, finally saying, "Thank you."

Sam laughs softly, holding her closer.

"Y'welcome, Beautiful."

[mycursedface]

She needs a shower. A proper one, by herself, wash her hair and wash the sweat away and-

And she really can't be bothered moving. He's there, and warm, he's there, and she doesn't want to move away from his arms.

So, she doesn't. Not for quite some time.
