Medusa's garden

The Bar is familiar, safer than Guppy's world, but it is still inside with people and Medusa...

Has spent a rather long time around strangers, mostly inside, with her wings hidden and unable to move and there were a lot of strangers and the Bar might be familiar and large, but she still can't breathe.

She manages an incoherant explanation before she opens the front door and runs out.

Beyond the door is a garden; a lush, walled garden with old trees looking soft and inviting in the twilight. There is a breeze, too, straight off the ocean and, here's the important part, the door is still open.

"Oh, right. Well, you can."

He grins. "Thanks, Meda."

"It's not a problem. And, um." She reaches up and tugs on his black hair. "You'd pass for one of us. I mean, the Tamazight. Right hair, right eyes, and some can be quite fair-skinned, so, you wouldn't have to just stay here, but could go out and...stuff, too."

Sam's eyes are bright, brighter than they have been for several months.

"That'd be great, Meda." He slides his hand down her arm to link their fingers together.

Fingers are okay - it's not too much, not about to send her to pacing-flight again.

But even if it wasn't, the look in his eyes would make it worth it.

So, she just smiles back at him, tangles her fingers with his and says, "Anytime, love."
