Medusa is not...okay, maybe she is hiding in Milliways. There are sound reasons for doing so! Including, but not limited to, the fact that Sam's bed is nice.

Still.

She is a creature of air and water and earth, and it's actually nice outside at the moment. Flowers and grass and leaves and warm. Not as warm as home, but acceptable. Which is why she's walking outside dressed in nothing but a white sundress (with a halter neck) and jeans.

Also a nosestud in the shape of a tiny spider. India has...left some impression.

"I'm glad you agree that you are very hollowboned and fragile and dwarfy and should never ever ever spar with anybody except other hollow-boned fragile midgets and that you should make sure to wear protective gear and limit said sparring to one person holding cushions and the other punching them." Atton says, straightening his jacket.

"No, you are being patronizing. I'm a monster, Atton. I have claws. I have wings. I have poisonous blood. I have hollow bones so I can fly like a bird, but that doesn't mean that I can't fight."

"Not that easily."

"I think I'd know how easily my bones are broken."

"I've had them broken. Multiple times. I know what breaks them and what doesn't."

"...why don't you trust me?"

"I trust you! 'S just that hollow bones are really breakable. And, y'know, the oxygen might not be getting to your head. 'Cause you're so short. See?"

"So, instead of trusting that I know the limits of what I can and can't do, you're going to decide that I...don't."

Beat.

"Still not going to spar with you."

"Okay."

Atton grins, brightly.

She doesn't grin back.

On the other hand, she hasn't lunged at him.
